Tasks distribution - quality assurance stage

Quality Assurance is a fast and effective method to verify data extracted by the first Researcher.

To set up Quality Assurance, go to the 'Quality Assurance' tab and choose one of the following options:

  1. Proportional assignment
  2. Individual assignment
  3. Open pool of tasks

Note that in each method, records will be distributed automatically - you don't have to select records to be distributed. After sending extracted data by the first Researcher, a record will be distributed automatically among other team members.

If you decide to use a Proportional assignment, all tasks in the Quality Assurance stage will be divided proportionally among Researchers.

In the case of Individual distribution, all references extracted and sent by the first Researcher, are automatically distributed between researchers in various percentages - you decide who should verify most references. Move the slider or type in a numer of references that would be distributed to a specific Researcher.  Finally, click on 'Setup' button.

Open pool of tasks is a distribution method dedicated to the Data Extraction and Quality Assurance stage. After choosing this option, all already extracted records are transferred to the task pool, where Researchers can select record after record and perform Quality Assurance. The QA is conducted until the whole batch is verified.

This way of distribution allows Researchers to choose records according to their background or experience.
