Renaming PDFs in Endnote

To speed up matching PDFs to references by AI model, you can rename each PDF using this rule:

1st author-publication date-title.


If you are using Endnote to manage references and retrieve PDFs, you can modify the preferences to ensure that Endnote labels the PDFs according to this naming rule consistently:

1. Click 'Edit' on the navigation bar

2. Select 'Preferences'

3. Select 'PDF handling'

4. From the PDF auto renaming option, please select the Author+Year+Title
